DTT Gets New Chair
Stephen Almond takes over as Chairman of the Board for Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, effective immediately.
Almond succeeds John Connolly, who has served as Chairman of the Board, since June 2007.
Connolly’s term ended May 31.
Previously, Almond served as Deputy Global Chief Executive Officer, Clients, DTT.
He also spent four years as Global Managing Director, Audit, DTT.
Barry Salzberg was elected DTT CEO in April and took over June 1.
On the U.S. front, Joseph Echevarria took over June 1 as Deloitte’s CEO.
He succeeded Salzberg.
Punit Renjen took Deloitte’s Chairman role officially on June 1.
He was elected in late April.
Renjen succeeds Sharon Allen, who is retiring after serving two consecutive four-year terms.
Echevarria and Renjen’s terms coincided with the start of Deloitte's new fiscal year.
